Terms of Service
Last Updated: May 22, 2026
1. Service Description
BarSpark ("the Service") is a web application that provides study tools for the California Bar Examination. The Service includes original MBE practice questions with explanations, essay writing practice with AI-assisted grading, spaced repetition flashcards, timed exam simulations, and performance test practice.
The Service is a study aid. It is not a law school, tutoring service, or legal advice provider. Using the Service does not guarantee any particular result on the California Bar Examination or any other exam.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide during registration is accurate.
3. Account Registration
Accounts are created through Firebase Authentication using either an email address and password or Google sign-in. Before creating an account, you may use certain features of the Service through an anonymous session stored in your browser via localStorage. When you create an account, your anonymous session data is linked to your authenticated account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at support@juridionai.com.
4. Purchase and Access
The Service is offered for a one-time payment of $199. This is not a subscription. There is no free trial, no recurring billing, and no automatic renewal.
Payments are processed through Stripe. Once your purchase is complete, you receive lifetime access to the Service, including AI essay grading and all other premium features, for as long as the Service remains available.
All sales are final. Because the purchase grants immediate, unrestricted access to the full Service, we do not offer refunds once a purchase is complete.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
All MBE practice questions in the Service are original content. They are not reproductions of questions from the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE), and the Service is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NCBE.
Essay prompts and selected answers are sourced from publicly available records published by the State Bar of California at calbar.ca.gov. These materials are public records. The Service does not claim authorship of those prompts or answers.
All other content on the Service, including explanations, flashcard text, user interface design, and original written material, is owned by BarSpark. You may not copy, redistribute, or sell this content without written permission.
6. AI-Assisted Features
Essay grading and certain feedback features use the Google Gemini API to analyze and score your written responses. When you submit an essay for grading, the text of your essay is sent to Google for processing.
AI-generated feedback is provided for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. AI grading scores and feedback should be treated as one data point among many in your study process, not as a definitive assessment of your legal writing ability.
7. Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract content from the Service
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute MBE questions, explanations, or flashcard content
- Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The Service is a study aid, not legal advice. We make no representation that using the Service will result in passing the California Bar Examination or any other exam. Bar exam preparation involves many factors beyond the scope of any single study tool.
The Service is designed specifically for the California Bar Examination. Content may not be accurate or applicable for bar exams in other jurisdictions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BarSpark and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.
9. Modifications
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice within the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the Service.
If your account is terminated, you may request a download of your data within 30 days by contacting us at support@juridionai.com.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
12. Contact
If you have questions about these terms, contact us at support@juridionai.com.
